Cover FX Custom Cover Drops

I can’t remember the last time I was this blown away after trying out a new product for the first time. I first saw Cover FX Custom Cover Drops in Claire Marshall’s haul video, and although she said in the video that she was uber impressed with the product I kinda took a quick mental note but soon forgot about it. As luck would have it, the next day I saw Lisa Eldridge using this same product in her Subtly Sun-kissed Golden Glow Makeup Look video and it looked pretty amazing (although granted, she tends to have this magic power of making every products look amazing). By then my curiosity and that nagging urge to get my hand on a bottle was pretty peaked but I decided to search around a little more and see what else other people have to say about it. It was when I watched Tati from Glamlifeguru in her first impression and demo video (where she showed how it transforms your skin into this insane gorgeous complexion and remains fresh and immaculate looking throughout the entire day) that I thought that’s it now I really really ‘really’ needed to get my hand on one.

Cover FX Custom Cover Drops is basically designed to add more pigment and coverage to your existing beauty products, be it a tinted moisturiser, BB cream, even a moisturiser, or a primer. The idea is you can play mixology and turn whatever products you have into something that will provide coverage like a foundation. The power is truly in your hand how you want this product to work for you and the possibilities are endless. Say some days you may want a dewly, glowing looking coverage so you can mix Cover FX with a brightening moisturiser or a luminous primer like the Laura Mercier foundation primer or Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow primer. Or some days you may want a more matte/satin finish to your makeup so you can mix Cover FX with a mattifying cream or a primer with a matte finish like the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer or Benefit Porefessional. I want to go as far as to say I feel as if this can replace all my existing foundations, since it can be mixed with so many different mediums to give various results depending on your needs.

I’ve been mixing mine with BareMinerals Complexion Rescue and I can not tell you how absolutely stunning the result is. The Complexion Rescue gives a very radiant dewy finish but very little coverage so on days that my skin needs a little pick me up it can look a bit lack-lustre. But with a few drops of Cover FX (I use between 2-3 drops) everything just came together like a dream; a radiant glowing skin with the right coverage that also looks skin-like and natural. What I also love about Cover FX is it does not alter the feel or consistency of whatever it is that it’s being mixed with. So if I add a few drops to my moisturiser and apply to my face, I still feel like I’m just applying my moisturiser and not something sticky and heavy like a foundation.

I’m not sure why Cover FX Custom Cover Drops is not that widely known in the UK as anywhere else as I certainly haven’t seen that many reviews or even a mention in any of the popular beauty blogs out there. Maybe it’s because it’s not that widely available in the UK yet but it’s really not that hard to get your hand on one. I ordered mine online from Harvey Nichols and the quickness in delivering time was pretty impressive (1 day to be exact).

Anyway this post has been quite a long ramble. So to finish off quick and sweet “this is one game changing product that you don’t want to miss this year”.
