Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist Review

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist

Hands up if you are guilty of always slathering on just a tad too much highlighter on your face in the hope of achieving that glamourous Hollywood red carpet glow, which for some reasons seems to look so deceptively effortless. I’m sure a good majority of you (inclulding myself) are sheepishly raising your hands right now, and why not? Everyone can do with a dewy glowing skin and sometimes it would be nice not having to just rely on a highlighter that can potentially make us look like a disco ball on the move. So when I watched one of Jaclyn Hill’s makeup tutorials, in which she mentioned this particular product that is apparently used by Kim Kardasian’s makeup artist to create her famous goddess glow, I knew I had to give it a try. Now I am by no means saying I want to look like Kim Kardasian (my boyfriend will be so horrified!) but I wouldn’t mind abit of that glamorous glow every once in a while, especially now that winter weather is firmly on its way and I’m filled with dreads of dry, dull, tired looking skin that sometimes no amount of makeup can fix.

The product in question is none other than Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist, a liquid spray-on moisturiser that you spritz on your face for a boost of soothing hydration, resulting in dewy, healthy looking, luminous skin. Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist is a product right up my street because it caters especially for dry and combination skin, containing Squalane, Red Algae and HADASEI-3 complex, a trio of moisturizing and antioxidant ingredients that helps fight the damaging effects of free radicals. The concept of this reminds me of Caudalie Beauty Elixir, which was so hyped about back in the days, but I was never a big fan of because of the somewhat unpleasant scent and the way the product is dispensed, which always left my face wet and streaky and got all over my hair and my clothes.

But Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist is on a whole different level altogether. It comes in a sleek and luxurious looking bottle (Tatcha is a Japan-inspired brand, and their packaging really reflects that) with a specially designed pump that evenly distributes a very fine, lightweight mist that instantly hydrates, softens and veils your skin in a beautiful fine radiance, without streaking or disturbing your makeup. I like using Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist to prep my skin before applying foundation to boost hydration and luminosity. I find that when my skin feels abit dry, a few spritzes really liven up my complexion making foundation sits on my skin much better and giving me that plump, dewiness without the need to add any highlighter.

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist is such a gorgoeous, feel-good, pampering product and if it’s not because of the pricetag and also the fact that it’s not so readily available here in the UK, I would be slathering my face with it every single day. But at the moment I’m saving it for days when my skin feels particularly dry or looking rather lack lustre and just needs abit of amping up (although I have a feeling I will be cracking this out a lot during the winter months). Another star product to add to my (shamefully long) list of favourites this year!
