Becca Backlight Priming Filter Review

Becca Backlight Priming Filter

Becca Backlight Priming Filter, a skin-prefecting, illuminating primer recently launched by Becca, is my current makeup SOS that has done wonders to my dry, lacklustre winter skin of late. This product has me written all over the bottle; designed to ultimately combat tired, dulled, fatigue-looking skin, Becca Backlight Priming Filter contains soft-focus pigments that blur any visible imperfections, refracts and diffuses light to give a flawless, luminous, lit-from-within complexion. Let’s be honest, who doesn’t like the sound of that?

Unlike some highlighting primers, which to me can feel slightly tacky, Becca Backlight Priming Filter has a beautiful lightweight, yet moisturising texture that melts seamlessly into the skin to create a noticeably smooth and dewy finish. It also contains antioxidant Vitamin E to brighten and fight against free radicals, and liquorice extract to tighten and firm the skin.

If, like me, you have normal to dry skin, Becca Backllight Priming Filter provides a very beautiful natural glow that isn’t in the slightest shimmery or sparkly. If you have oily skin, you might not appreciate the all-over glow, but I think using less of the product and avoiding the T-zone, will still allow you to achieve that healthy skin look. Because I have super dry skin at the moment and in dire need of a glowing, dewy complexion, I use one pump of Becca Backlight Priming Filter underneath my foundation, plus half a pump to mix in with my foundation, and that does the trick to create a beautiful candlelit glow to the skin.

Becca Backlight Priming Filter retails for £32 and available from both CultBeauty and SpaceNK. It is a pricey one, but if your budget can accommodate this, I think it is a nifty product to cheat a glowing, healthy-looking skin, that we all crave but don’t always have.
