Lancer Intensive Night Treatment Review

Lancer Intensive Night Treatment

Hands up if you (who live in the UK) have enough of this long, nowhere near-ending, freezing cold weather we can’t seem to shake off. I’m not generally one to mind the cold that much, as long as I have my cosy jumper, my scarf and a warm coat on. But this year the cold seems particularly relentless and my skin was beginning to resemble a dried prune, not an attractive look to say the least. That is until I stumbled upon my new holy grail moisturiser; Lancer Intensive Night Treatment with Hylaplex and Marula Oil.

This ultra-rich, deeply hydrating, anti-aging night cream, has taken hydration to a whole new level, ‘literally’. So much so that I honestly believe I’d never experienced real, proper skin hydration until I tried this cream. Lancer Intensive Night Treatment has a clever ‘cloud-burst’ technology, which turns the rich cream into instant moisture upon contact with the skin. The cream itself looks and feels like thick whipped cream, but once it’s massaged into the skin it melts and sinks in ‘right away’, leaving zero residue or greasiness, and does not sit on top of the skin like most rich moisturisers do. Then the magic happens and you can literally feel the moisture bursts into a cool, hydrating sensation underneath the skin. You’re left with the most beautiful cooling, plumping sensation, almost as if there’s a well of water beneath the skin surface. It’s nothing like I’ve ever experienced before with any moisturisers.

Another clever technology of Lancer Intensive Night Treatment is a feature called ‘Hylaplex’; a liposome encapsulated hyaluronic acid, which has the ability to penetrate right to the dermis layer of the skin to provide ‘effective’ hydration and nourish the skin at a deeper layer where it matters most (most moisturisers just sit on the eperdermis layer and evaporate away without providing any real long-term benefits to the skin).

Lancer Intensive Night Treatment stands out to me for so many reasons. It is the first moisturiser that I can ‘physically’ feel the hydrating and plumping effects from underneath my skin. On top of that, Lancer is a brand developed by a renowned dermatologist, Dr. Harold Lancer, from Beverly Hills L.A, who has been a trusted resource for some of the world’s most beautiful people, with celebrity clientele in the like of Victoria Beckham and Kim K, so the credibility can hardly be questioned.

I feel like this will be a hard on to beat. I’ve already picked up another moisturiser for daytime; Lancer The Method: Nourish, which still provides that same burst of satifying hydration but with a slightly lighter texture to the Intensive Night Treatment. Unfortunately Lancer is a high-end brand that comes with a heftly pricetag (Intensive Night Treatment retails for £135, while The Method: Nourish retails for £105). But I firmly believe that investing in your skin is a worthy investment that lasts a lifetime, and for me Lancer is definitely a worthy investment.
